Which is a characteristic of bamboo fiber reinforced biocomposite?
Distinctive properties of bamboo fiber reinforced biocomposite natural increase and flexural tensile strength, ductility and greater resistance to cracking and larger than a better impact strength and toughness of the composite [ 15 ]. All these properties are not accessible in other types of wood-based materials. 2.2. Based on elementary beam theory and the relationship between interface slip and the strain, a model for calculating the mid-span deflection and bearing capacity of a steel-bamboo composite I-beam has been established.Author: Yamin Duan, Jialiang Zhang, Keting Tong, Pei Wu, Yushun LiPublish Year: 2021
Study on Flexural Behaviour of Box Section Bamboo-Steel flexural behavior of bamboo concrete composite beams Rolling
To take full advantages of the bamboo and cold-formed thin-walled steel, a new type of box section beam combined with bamboo and steel channel was proposed in this paper. Five composite beams with different parameters were tested to evaluate the effects of bamboo plywood thickness of composite beams and thickness and sectional dimension of steel channel. The results of experiment showed that the proposed composite beams exhibited excellent flexural bearing capacities and stiffness.
